Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. CocoCalc works fully offline. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and the app makes no network connections at all. Your settings stay on your phone.
Which products does it cover?
The CANNA Coco line — Coco A & B plus the common additives. You can tell the app which bottles you actually own in Settings, and the recipe adjusts to only the products you have.
The EC it predicts doesn't match my meter. Why?
Predicted EC is the sum of your source-water EC and the nutrients added. Two things most often explain a mismatch: your source-water EC is not set correctly (measure your plain water and enter it in the inputs), or your meter uses a different EC/TDS conversion scale. Check the EC unit in Settings matches your meter.
Nutrient strength also varies slightly by batch and temperature, so treat the figure as a close starting point rather than an exact target.
How do I reset my settings?
All data is stored locally, so deleting and reinstalling the app clears everything and returns it to defaults.
Is this an official CANNA app?
No. CocoCalc is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CANNA. It calculates doses from CANNA's publicly published Coco grow schedule. Product names are used only to identify the products being dosed.
Always follow the instructions on your own bottles — they are the authority, not this app.
Where can I read the privacy policy?
It's published at iclint.github.io/PrivacyPolicies/cococalc/. In short: nothing leaves your device.
