TentControl is an independent iOS client for Mars Hydro grow-tent controllers. It shows live tent conditions and lets you control your existing hardware from your phone. This page explains how to get help.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
Yes — you sign in with the account you already use for your controller hardware. TentControl does not create accounts. If you don't have one yet, create it in the hardware vendor's own app or website first, then sign in here.
Can I try it without hardware?
Yes. Tap "Try Demo Mode" on the login screen. It runs the whole app against a simulated tent with live-updating temperature, humidity, VPD, and fan/light state — no account or hardware needed.
I can't sign in, or my devices don't appear.
Check that the same credentials work in the vendor's own app — this confirms the account itself is fine. Then make sure your phone has a working internet connection and that your controller is online and paired to that account.
If it works in the vendor app but not here, please report it and include what you see.
How do I change my password or delete my account?
Because the account belongs to your hardware vendor, password changes and account deletion are done on the vendor's own website or app. TentControl cannot create or delete that account.
Is this an official Mars Hydro app?
No. TentControl is an independent, unofficial client and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mars Hydro. Product and brand names are used only to identify the hardware the app works with.
Where can I read the privacy policy?
It's published at iclint.github.io/PrivacyPolicies/tentcontrol/. The app runs no backend of its own and stores its data locally on your device.
Reporting a problem
To help me fix things quickly, please include:
- Your iPhone model and iOS version
- The app version (shown in Settings → About)
- Your controller model
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
- Whether the same thing works in the vendor's own app
